Researchers use the "teaching perspectives inventory" (TPI) to evaluate the effectiveness of an 8-month intervention called the "faculty certificate program" (FCP).

Participants engaged in weekly individual and group reflection on their teaching practices & beliefs. Pre/post TPI testing showed significant deepening awareness by participants of their teaching philosophies, practices, etc... Quantitative results are augmented with qualitative interview data.
